We ar back at Petr's house. Camp ended today and we are tired. It was a great week of crafts and baseball. We made lots of new friends and fell in love with lots of kids. The youth here are amezing and did an aewsome job leading the groups. Sorry it has been so long since the last post but we had no internet at camp. We are going to take a trip to Jurmala this afternoon. It is a towm located on the Baltic Sea. Should be fun. Tomorrow after church we will take the kids from camp to McDonalds and look around Riga a little more. Justin and Bri will start there trip back on Monday and the rest of us will head back home on Tuesday. We love ya'll and thank you for the prayers.

A beautiful day.
We enjoyed a beautiful day walking the streets of Riga today. We let the new arrivals and Taylor sleep in today and then we went into Old Town Riga. We did some shopping and site seeing and then enjoyed a great meal at TGIFridays. Now we are relaxing at Petr's house and getting ready to take some crafts out to camp. The Huff's got their bags in today but we are still waiting on Sydney's. Hopefully they will find her bag soon. Pleas continue to pray for the workers and kids that will be at camp this next week.

There here!
Well the rest of the team has made it to Riga. Praise God. Please continue to pray that the rest of their luggage arrives very soon. We are still missing several pieces.
Travel Fun
Well it appears that both groups traveling today are experiencing difficulty. Standed here there with and without luggage. Plase keep them and there bags in your prayers. Both groups should be landing around 11:00-11:30 tonight. Here in Riga the day has been filled with shopping and taking groceries out to camp. The workers are heading out there today to start and prep for the coming week. We will go to camp on Sunday with the kids. Pray that everything runs smooth at camp and that many kids will come to know Christ. Thank you for all your prayer support. Even though you are not here you are still a big part of this trip. We love ya and God Bless.

VBS is over!
Well VBS is now and and we will start preparing for camp. We do have a little break between the two with camp not starting til Sunday. Our other team members are on the way or at least getting ready to be. We will be welcoming them to thebeautiful country of Latvia tomorrow.
VBS ended on a good note with 111 kids there for the last day. Everything went smooth and I can't say enough about how amazing the workers are here. We had an awesome young lady as our translator this week, and all the group leaders did a great job.
We are a little tired so sleeping in tomorrow will be very nice. Please continue to pray for our team as we prepare for camp this next week.

One To Go
The third day is over. We had 121 today. There have been about 145 different kids come at least one day. Praise God that our numbers continue to grow and that more kids are having an opportunity to see Gods love. Our craft for the day was some sand art, and out youngest group decorated some paper dolls. The leaders are doing a great job organizing the activities and they are doing a great job with the kids. VBS in Latvia is different in only a couple of ways compared to what we are used to in the states. Here the youth lead the different groups with a few adults at different stations and organizing the whole thing. The other difference is that we can't understand the kids. They are doing a great job trying to teach some Russian words and phrases. Tomorrow will he our last day and Pator Petr will be talking to the kids and giving them a chance to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. Please pray that many children will make decisions. Our craft for tomorrow will be a cross necklace and we will be giving some more gifts to the kids. Hopefully there will be pictures or videos posted a little later. Also please pray for the second half of our team as they will be heading out tomorrow morning.

2nd Day of VBS
Well the second day of VBS is here and gone. We had 118 kids today. Some new faces and some that didn't make it back. Please pray that the kids keep coming back. Our craft for the day was a Bible verse frame...or something like that. We used lots of glue which always equals lots of fun. The kids also got to sing some fun songs and eat lots of food so they left the church happy today. The weather outside reached a high of 56 degrees and it has been raining most of the day. I'm not sure the ladies are liking the cold but I sure do. We are planning on lounging the rest of the day but will be back at it again tomoorow. We appreciate the prayers that are going out everyday and we hope that you will continue to lift us up every chance you get.

First Day Is Over
Well the first day of crafts is over. We had 110 kids today and were only planning on around 90. Praise God for the great numbers. We had to go shopping today to buy some extra supplies. Not easy finding the crafts we needed in Latvia, because there was no Hobby Lobby here. We painted bags today with stop signs which is the theme of the VBS. We will be posting some pics later and you can check out Kristen and Stanton's facebook pages for more pictures. Please pray that all the kids return tomorrow and that they bring fans also.
VBS Starts
VBS starts today. Please pray that we will have lots of kids attend this week. VBS will run from 10:00-2:00. We will be providing the crafts for the VBS and helping with whatever else they need. The kids will get lunch while they are with us. For most of the kids attending this will be their first time to hear about Jesus. Pray that God will soften theit hearts. Thanks for all your prayers this week.

Celebration
This morning we got to sleep in a bit...and boy was that a good thing. We went to the church where they were having a in of year celebration for the sunday school kids. They also announced VBS. We were planning on going out to the camp today to plant some flowers around the camp, but the weather has changed our plans. It is raining outside right now so we are resting. We will be going to church tomorrow and then handing out information on the VBS around town. Please pray that we have good weather and that the kids will want to come to VBS. Maybe the rain will stop soon and we can head out to camp. It dosen't get dark here till around 11:00 so we have plenty of time. We love ya'll and thanks for all the prayers that are going up.

Arriving in Latvia
We have arrived in Riga, Latvia. Everything went as smooth as possible. We will be relaxing the rest of the day trying to get over the time difference, and the lack of sleep. We have been up for about 34 hours and were about to head to bed.
Tomorrow we will have a celebration at the church and then we will probably head out to camp to plant some flowers and clean up.

Packing
Well Kristen and I spent the evening out at Lisa's house packing craft bags for the trip. Got most of it ready to go. We also spent some time making some samples for the kids to look at. That was pretty interesting. We have 8 days left before we leave. Please be praying that the craft bags make it to Riga. We can survive without a lot of stuff but the crafts are the most important part.
